A food orgy

June 16, 2011

I took a break from my conquests to help with the onerous, herculian task of picking awesome food for the SF Underground Market.

Iso Rabins and his board members presided over sample day. Sort of like a nice gourmet version of America’s Got Talent, where people who make other people happy through food, cook up and drop off some edible gems.

When is indigestion good?

When it follows a 20-odd sample tasting session with the Underground Market crew.

What was so good about it?

Let me ask you. When are octopus balls, lemon slices, borscht, fried ice-cream, home-baked bread, avocado and chocolate ice-pops – all at the same time – ever a bad idea?

Do you feel good about yourself now that you’re so delirious from food that you barely know your own name?

Yes. It’s the price you pay for food nirvana.

Can you still fit into your clothes?

Yes. If I elasticate my waistband I do technically fit into my clothes.

Would you do it again?

Yes. Only this time I’d take a few elastic waistbands with me. It would make food comas a complete pleasure.
